Parsons, a digitally enabled solutions provider, is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join their Critical Infrastructure team. With nearly 75 years of experience, Parsons delivers innovative services to government agencies and private industrial customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and project management for infrastructure projects, including investigations, remediation design, and excess soil planning.
- Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg.153/04 requirements.
- Design and oversee remedial projects, including excavations, ISCO, bioremediation, and sediment remediation.
- Manage excess soil and waste on infrastructure projects, contributing to planning and design inputs as per O.Reg. 406/19.
- Peer review technical documents and reports.
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation.
- Prepare ESA, waste management, and excess soil workplans and cost estimates.
- Manage project finances, track budgets, and prepare reports.
- Maintain client relationships and liaise with other engineering disciplines.
- Lead the Ottawa office, including functional management and mentorship.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in earth sciences, environmental/chemical/geological engineering, or similar programs.
- 15+ years of consulting experience in contaminated sites projects, managing teams, and providing technical leadership.
- Strong experience in federal and provincial environmental laws and regulations within the Ontario jurisdiction.
- 5+ years managing contaminated sites projects with consulting values over $100K.
- 10 completed projects under O.Reg. 406/19, including excess soil planning and monitoring.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Track record of delivering high-quality work products.
- Strong project management acumen to deliver projects within schedule and budgets.
- Financially literate from a project management perspective.
Desired Skills:
- History of managing/mentoring teams.
- Experience with other environmental aspects of infrastructure projects, such as Hydrogeology Assessments.
- Business development attributes, including networking and attracting new clients.
