:Parsons Corporation seeks an experienced Contaminated Sites Remediation Specialist to provide technical leadership in the design and project management of contaminated sites, remediation and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership in the design and project management of contaminated sites, remediation and infrastructure projects;
- Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg.153/04 requirements;
- Develop remedial design and site remediation oversight plans, including excavations, ISCO, bioremediation, permeable and impermeable barriers, and mechanical technologies;
- Coordinate excess soil and waste management on infrastructure projects, contributing to planning and design inputs as per O.Reg. 406/19;
- Peer review technical documents and reports;
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation on major and minor pursuits;
- Project Management and Coordination: ESA and remediation related projects, tracking and maintaining budgets and project finances;
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in earth sciences, environmental/chemical/geological engineering or similar programs;
- 5+ years of consulting experience at an engineering firm with strong experience in the applicable federal and provincial environmental laws and regulations within a Canadian (preferably Ontario) jurisdiction;
- 2+ years managing contaminated sites projects with consulting values over $100K and/or as a project manager or a technical designer;
- Technically strong with advance knowledge of environmental site assessments, excess oil planning and various remediation approaches;
- Experience working with diverse multidiscipline and/or international project teams;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Financially literate from a project management perspective;
- Track record of delivering high-quality work products;
