Job DescriptionMagna Exteriors, a leading manufacturer of automotive and commercial truck components, seeks a skilled individual to join its production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating presses, ensuring timely and accurate production of high-quality components.
The Magna Exteriors portfolio includes access systems, exterior trim, and other lightweight structural components for the automotive and commercial truck markets.
Key Qualifications- High school diploma or post-secondary education in a technical field
- Valid Forklift license (training will be provided)
- Valid Crane license (training will be provided)
- Strong knowledge of press controls, tooling protection, and other equipment
- Excellent communication and mathematical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Set up and operate presses, ensuring timely and accurate production of high-quality components
- Communicate with area leader and maintenance department regarding any issues or requirements affecting production
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the production line
- Operate safely 10 to 40 ton cranes with sling or chain, with appropriate training
- Maintain 5S standards in the working environment, and actively participate in continuous improvement
- Ability to follow written set-up instructions and fill out proper set-up papers/maintain tool work order
- Automotive manufacturing experience
