Construction Sales Representative

Job Description:
Join our team as a Sales Representative, where you'll leverage your expertise to expand our client base in the construction equipment industry. You'll be responsible for generating leads, building relationships with potential clients, and closing sales to meet targets. With a focus on customer satisfaction, you'll provide product recommendations, prepare quotes, and ensure timely delivery of orders. Your proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently will contribute to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outside sales activities to identify potential leads and expand our customer base within the construction industry.
- Utilize various channels, including existing customer relationships, online searches, and industry contacts, to generate leads.
- Initiate and maintain business relationships through proactive calls and visits to potential clients, recording all lead information accurately in our ERP system.
- Customer calls, visits, documenting details such as current and potential needs, decision-makers, and competitors.
- Gather and relay customer feedback to improve our products and services, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Follow up with customers after delivery of orders, prepare and send quotes, and collaborate with suppliers on large quotations.
- Respond to online inquiries for large projects not handled by Customer Service, arrange site visits, and provide technical support as needed.
- Become proficient in our product offerings and serve as a subject matter expert, providing insights and recommendations to customers.
- Monitor competition's prices and actions, provide recommendations, and contribute to marketing materials and trade shows.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of professional sales experience, ideally within the construction or industrial products and equipment sector.
- Strong familiarity with the construction industry and its purchasing processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to building and maintaining business relationships.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development to stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge.
