We are seeking a QHSE / Project Quality Manager supporting the delivery of projects within the Arup North Geography (with offices in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Calgary) under the direction of the Regional AMS Manager based out of our Toronto office in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

Lead and / or support delivery of QHSE initiatives to regionally agreed specifications. Performing work related to management of the firm's QHSE system to ensure compliance with internal QHSE requirements and with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certification requirements. Assisting project teams with implementing project management processes and documentation, related to quality assurance, planning, project controls, risk management etc. Help develop and maintain project management systems on major projects per applicable client requirements. Represent the regional QHSE program, according to the QHSE mission, goals, and guiding principles. Liaise with collaborators to ensure their objectives are communicated to the team for consideration in all QHSE initiatives and activities. Report on their activities, results, work progress, process changes to the regional QHSE team leadership and to their internal clients. Identify and promote collaboration with subject matter authorities from other Arup teams on the regional and global level. Develop and maintain design quality manuals, policies, and procedures in conformance with contract requirements. Plan and conduct internal and second party quality assurance audits to ensure conformance with the client and contract requirements. Ensure follow-up on any identified non-conformities, and client complaints by conducting investigations, developing corrections and corrective actions, and leading all aspects of their efficiency. Support the project leadership to establish project risk registers and to supervise risk management activities regularly. Develop required quality assurance reports and provide inputs to other project management reports as needed. Substantiate the quality conformance of project delivery and services during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum seven years of proven experience for engineering design and / or construction projects. IRCA certification as QMS or EMS or OHSMS auditor or equivalent. Experience with implementation of corrective action programs. Strong digital literacy and proficiency with programs used to capture, analyze and report data (i.e., spreadsheets, databases, word processing, etc.). Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QHSE. ASQ - Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) is a plus. Six sigma - green belt is a plus. PMI - Project Management Professional (PMP) is an asset.

Hiring Range: The good faith base salary hiring range for this job performed in Toronto is insert $130, ,000. Benefits are not included in the base salary range.
