**Lead Air Combat Systems Officer Contracted Qualified Flying Instructor (ACSO CQFI)** A highly experienced ACSO CQFI is required to supervise training programs, provide instruction to RCAF ACSO students, and support the management of the Training Program.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising ACSO CQFIs, supporting the management of the Training Program, and providing training to RCAF ACSO students. They will also serve as an ACSO subject matter expert, supporting the FAcT ramp up plan and transition-in activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise ACSO CQFIs and support the management of the Training Program
  • Provide training to RCAF ACSO students
  • Support the FAcT ramp up plan and transition-in activities
  • Conduct category proficiency and upgrade checks on ACSO CQFIs
  • Maintain training and standards records of instructors
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert to support Courseware, flight operations, and training delivery IPTs
  • Collaborate with various groups to manage training, scheduling, and flight operations
  • Participate in Wing, Squadron, and Flight-mandated briefings and Progress Review Boards
  • Assist Chief Instructor and Training Manager with management activities
  • Support flight dispatching

Requirements:

  • Military flying experience within the last 10 years with an acceptable PLAR
  • Former RCAF QFI ACSO experience within the last 10 years
  • At least two years of related supervisory experience at the senior officer level within a flying unit or air service
  • Comprehensive understanding of RCAF rear crew training system, organizations/hierarchy, and reporting mechanisms
  • RCAF/DND/GoC/industry experience in general staffing duties and procedures
  • RCAF CFITES principles
  • Supporting operations and training programs

Medical Requirements:

  • Maintain an unrestricted TC Category I Medical
  • Meet RCAF pilot standards on medical examinations every two years

Qualifications:

  • English language proficiency (TOEFL with "advanced" results)
  • RCAF, or equivalent, previously held minimum A Cat QFI experience
  • Detailed knowledge of the RCAF TSD, TMP, and ACSO TPs
  • Flexibility to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times

Desired Experience/Qualification/Training:

  • RCAF Aerospace Warfare Center (RAWC) Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E)
  • Experience with RCAF OT&E activities
  • Experience in Training Development Team
  • CAF Joint Command and Staff Programme (JCSP), or equivalent, qualification
  • Competent in the use of MS Office
  • Bilingual or Second Language profile of BBB
  • Foster partnership and business relations with key stakeholders

Security Responsibilities:

The incumbent must be eligible for Government Personnel Security Clearance and Canadian Goods Program.
