Job Summary:
IMP Group is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring quality and efficiency, and leading a team of production personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical work package reviews and fact finding to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
- Support production planning, facilities, and infrastructure development to optimize production efficiency.
- Conduct analysis of production personnel requirements and technical qualifications to ensure a skilled workforce.
- Participate in organizational structure planning for supervision and support teams to ensure effective leadership.
- Collaborate with Leonardo Helicopters to develop CMLU-specific training plans and on-the-job training programs.
- Manage tooling and equipment setup, including auditing tooling lists, designing tooling cabinets, and overseeing tooling acquisition.
- Support efforts to achieve LHUK Supplier Qualification (QRS-01) as required.
- Draft reports and correspondence, and present information to various stakeholders as required.
- Support program risk management by identifying risks and mitigation options.
- Liaise with all IMP departments on technical matters as required.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate Transport Canada Recognized Aircraft Maintenance Program or equivalent DND training.
- Conversant with aerospace terminology, understanding of drawings, aircraft, and aircraft systems, and aircraft maintenance policies and procedures.
- Able to collaborate with team members in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Good self-discipline and ability to work independently when required.
- Comfortable working under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Able to envision how production work can be done to enhance planning efforts and maximize efficiency.
- Experience working with the AW101/CH149 Helicopter or in an aircraft manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Experience and knowledge of Quality Assurance Procedures related to AS9100 standards is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, overhaul, and manufacture, with 2 years of experience in a supervisory role preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to use a personal computer.
- Eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC-Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
