Who We're Looking For
Personable, team player, engaging, helpful individual that is willing to work with you to find a solution but is also hungry to close the deal. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Business Development Representative is responsible for working with Sales and Marketing team to develop the sales, marketing, and business development strategies. The incumbent is accountable for meeting sales targets and developing strong relationships with new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use HubSpot CRM to note all business details after each sales conversation.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing and Structural team to develop and implement an annual sales strategy that outlines the necessary actions to achieve company objectives within the assigned territory. Update and refine this plan on a quarterly basis, as needed. Engage with management throughout the development and execution phases, ensuring clear communication of any significant achievements or challenges.
  • Develop a strong understanding of territories and contact all accounts within the territory as per sales strategy.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets as outlined in annual sales strategy.
  • Conduct client (TBD) visits to identify opportunities, develop relationships, negotiate and close deals that support revenue growth.
  • Coordinate lunch and learn sessions with customers and members of the Architectural & Design community.
  • Assist clients to set specification requirements based on the latest product knowledge.
  • Execute and achieve sales targets.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer base. Prepare in advance, setting clear objectives for each sales call, including contingency goals to secure customer commitment. Anticipate potential objections and develop alternative strategies to address and overcome resistance.
  • Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of both products and industry trends.
  • Establishes Garibaldi as the premier source within the glass community.
Communication
  • Deliver training to internal staff, customers, and members of industry, which exemplifies Garibaldi's position as subject matter experts of marine and architectural glass.
  • Attend and contribute to regular team meetings. Provide feedback to the team on issues such as competitors, marketing initiatives, market conditions, and recent successes.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Training)
  • Post-secondary education.
  • 5-7 years full-cycle sales experience (customer acquisition & retention, upselling, negotiating, and closing deals).
  • Track record of overachieving sales targets and B2B "hunter" type selling.
  • Experience creating strategies and managing outcomes is considered an asset.
Required Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
  • Proficient in various sales techniques and adept at managing sales pipelines.
  • Effective communicator with technical aptitude to understand, advise and train on products.
  • Solid negotiation skills, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently as well as be a contributing member of a team.
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivated and driven.
  • Demonstrated creativity in providing solutions that foster win-win relationships.
Working Conditions
This position works primarily in an office environment with occasional time spent within a manufacturing environment and requirements of travel and telecommuting.

Standard Office:
  • Comfortable indoor area.
  • Comfortable environment with exposure to some dust, dirt or other conditions which might produce mild discomfort.
  • Frequent, short periods when it is necessary to pay close attention to the monitoring of sights and sounds.
  • Moderate mental demands due to one or more conditions which are present in the job. There may be noticeable pressure from simultaneous priorities and deadlines.
Travel:
  • Travel will be approximately 35% of time and may fluctuate throughout the year. Most travel will be within North America and/or local.
  • Client job sites may be indoor or outdoor environment(s) with exposure to dirt, dust and weather elements that might produce discomfort.
