About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and ambitious Project Manager to join our Corporate Development team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in implementing our National Indigenous Strategy, managing projects that support our strategic objectives for Indigenous inclusion, representation, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project roadmaps and timelines to ensure timely and effective execution.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align corporate development goals with the strategy.
  • Lead and manage multiple implementations that support the Indigenous Office's mandate, ensuring adherence to organizational goals and standards.
  • Oversee timelines and deliverables, ensuring adherence to organizational goals and standards.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental teams to facilitate strategy implementation and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous communities and leaders, as well as close collaboration with departments of the organization.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Indigenous stakeholders, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of initiatives and projects, developing program reports to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, considering the long-term impact of decisions on Indigenous communities.
  • Use data, feedback, and research to inform decisions, improve programs, and strategies.
  • Ensure the quality assurance of all documents produced.
  • Support the development of tools, working documents, presentations, and facilitate workshops and cross-functional meetings.
  • Work with the management team to create and communicate well-written, compelling presentations and briefings for senior management and external audiences.
  • Gather information from a wide variety of sources inside and outside the organization and distill that information into clear, comprehensive documents.
  • Act as an ambassador of the Indigenous Office with internal and external partners.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in project management, management, business administration, or any other related discipline.
  • Seven to ten years of experience in project management.
  • A recognized certification in project management (PMP, etc.) would be an asset.
  • Two years of experience in program management.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures, best practices, and guidelines.
  • High organization skills and ability to manage several projects at various stages of completion.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to work with others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience working and building strong relationships with Indigenous communities.
  • Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build high morale among the team.
  • Excellent analysis, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Highly creative and proactive individual who is able to propose innovative ideas.
  • Active and highly skilled in project management tools, Google documents, and presentation decks.
  • Keen interest in the media and broadcasting environments in Canada.
  • Ability to work flexible hours depending on the assignment and deadlines and to travel within Canada.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
