Program Officer

Join the Canadian Red Cross as a Program Officer - Indigenous Community Development and contribute to the evolution of the Creating Safe Environments (CSE) Recovery program. This role involves planning and coordination, external relationships, service delivery, and monitoring and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the confirmation of project scope, standards, and goals that support the evolution of the CSE Recovery program.
- Support the design of program activities to meet intended recovery outcomes, including identification and design of supportive partnerships, tools, and resources.
- Ensure strategic and equitable access to CRC services and programs across impacted Indigenous communities.
- Ensure cultural safety guides the approach to our work and recovery planning.
Requirements:
- University degree and 5 years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in partnerships with Indigenous communities.
- Proven program design, management, and delivery experience in a complex environment.
- Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural issues, specifically traditional Indigenous beliefs and practices related to maintaining wellness.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Experience analyzing and synthesizing data for report writing.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel required for this role.
- May be required to work non-traditional hours.
- Eligibility to work in Canada.
