Reporting to the Manager, Inventory Control & Analytics, The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible to establish, enhance, and maintain supply chain and distribution center score-carding, data reporting and analytics. This position will lead the analytical process in development of key business insights and recommend solutions through robust data analysis combined with a fact-based understanding of supply chain logistics, market trends, and global influences. The creation of data collection methods and efficient reporting; and enhancing the collaboration within the Supply Chain Business Unit, the Distribution Centre, and across other business units are key parts of this role.

Qualifications

As a qualified candidate you will have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Industrial Engineering
  • 3 to 5 years experience in Supply Chain Logistics planning with a focus on Data Analytics
  • Logistics or supply chain WM systems experience
  • Strong computer literacy in standard MS Office and very strong MS Excel skills

As an ideal candidate you will have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Experience working in the Packaged Goods or Beverage Alcohol industries
  • Logistics or Supply Chain WM systems experience within an SAP environment

An alternate combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the analytical process to derive key business insights from WMS / SAP data as it pertains to Supply Chain and the DC; recommend solutions for business issues and opportunities based on robust data analytics
  • Develop and implement standardized and efficient processes to monitor, investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies or issues within WMS and SAP data systems
  • Manage all critical reporting for the Supply Chain business unit to ensure that our key metrics are accurately measured and are meeting all departmental performance goals and audit requirements
  • Provide Supply Chain data subject matter expertise to develop, implement and maintain SAP and TecSys computerized systems to improve daily operations
  • Analyze product movement (frequency and velocity) in order to ensure warehouse efficiency is maximized and recommend appropriate configuration changes
  • Design tools, standardized methods, and process documentation to support the Supply Chain business unit to ensure all processes are consistent and efficient
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams which may include external customers and partners, other internal NSLC departments, and frontline team members to gather insights/feedback on existing processes and to troubleshoot issues as it pertains to the Supply Chain business unit and Distribution Centre
  • Lead ad hoc projects and data related initiatives to support the Supply Chain business unit and DC priorities and initiatives
  • Perform business critical data analysis on freight contract proposals for the Supply Chain business unit enabling fact based and financially sound decision making
  • Responsible for all periodic, quarterly and year-end Supply Chain reporting requirements to meet financial and audit guidelines
  • Continually monitor variances and error logs between the SAP and WM systems, and implement corrective action
  • Provide timely data analytics on items in the DC and make recommendations for updates to item master data and improvements to DC layout
  • Ensure the Inventory Control function of WMS / SAP systems are operating to standard

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain detailed knowledge and understanding of DC plans and initiatives
  • Make recommendations regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of current systems and business operational procedures
  • Provide guidance on opportunities for enhancement relating to transportation planning
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements and trends both domestically and abroad and report on the potential impact to the business unit management
