Medical Lab Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Lab Technologist to join our team in Burnaby, BC. As a Medical Lab Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing
  • Perform, interpret and release results, while ensuring the confidentiality of patient information
  • Identify incidents and non-conformities, participate in the development of effective corrective action plans, escalate as appropriate and drive continuous improvement
  • Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology
  • Participate in problem solving in work organization and workflow

Requirements:

  • College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Excellent communication skills to enable you to relate with a wide variety of people
  • Good computer skills and knowledge
  • Problem solving skills, including the ability to identify and follow-up on issues
  • Ability to maintain the strictest standards of safety, patient privacy and confidentiality
