Radiation Technologist, CT Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiation Technologist, CT Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing special procedure examinations in CT, utilizing your expertise to ensure high-quality images and exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Examination and Imaging
Perform special procedure examinations in CT, adhering to established procedures and protocols. - Patient Care and Safety
Monitor patients during procedures, responding to any emergent situations and ensuring their safety and well-being. - Equipment Maintenance and Quality Control
Monitor and maintain equipment performance, performing quality control checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor. - Supervision and Leadership
Supervise and lead a team of Medical Imaging personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. - Continuous Quality Improvement
Participate in the department's Continuous Quality Improvement program, contributing to the development and implementation of quality assurance checks and protocols. - Record Keeping and Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and hospital records, ensuring compliance with departmental and organizational standards. - Communication and Collaboration
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff, collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography
- One year of recent, related experience, including supervisory experience
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) level
- Strong knowledge of CT theory and practices, as well as safe work procedures with radiology equipment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
