Key Responsibilities- Examination and Imaging
Perform special procedure examinations in CT, adhering to established procedures and protocols, and ensuring compliance with departmental standards. - Patient Care and Safety
Monitor patients during procedures, responding to any emergent situations, and ensuring the safe handling of contrast media and other equipment. - Equipment Maintenance and Quality Control
Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on CT equipment, identifying and reporting any malfunctions or issues. - Supervision and Leadership
Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the department. - Communication and Collaboration
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography
- Minimum one year of recent experience in a related field, including supervisory experience
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BCLS) level
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
