Senior Communications Advisor for Human Resources

Join our team as a Senior Communications Advisor for Human Resources and play a key role in shaping the future of Intact Financial Corporation. As a member of our Corporate Communications team, you will be responsible for leading strategic communications planning and execution to support IFC's business objectives and HR's strategic plans.

About the Role

  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans to support HR's strategic priorities, including DEI, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & Employee Experience, Rewards and Recognition, Learning and Development, Compensation and Benefits, and Projects teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HR partners to understand their business needs and collaborate on effective communications strategies.
  • Collaborate with Communications partners across the business to connect the dots and leverage best practices.
  • Create effective, consistent communications appropriate for the intended audiences and channels, including intranet articles, presentations, SharePoint sites, and newsletters.
  • Manage internal communications platforms, including the HR Hub, and develop and maintain best practices.
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendars working with business partners across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish strong relationships with HR partners to understand their business needs and collaborate on effective communications strategies.
  • Develop and execute strategic communications plans to support HR's strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with Communications partners across the business to connect the dots and leverage best practices.
  • Create effective, consistent communications appropriate for the intended audiences and channels.
  • Manage internal communications platforms, including the HR Hub.
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendars working with business partners across the business.

  • Is a trusted advisor that builds and develops strong relationships with HR partners and leaders and other colleagues across Corporate Communications and IFC.
  • Implements effective processes and best practices in all projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in communications/mass media/editing, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in communications or a related field.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to create alignment among multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects and expectations simultaneously.
  • Highly organized and able to manage workflow efficiently with autonomy and flexibility.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Fluency with graphic or video production/editing tools an asset.
