Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Solutions Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Solutions team, you will partner with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve their real-world engineering problems, and grow Ansys' business. You will use your expert-level engineering knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services, and help translate customer requirements into exciting new product features.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, including technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows, and analyze how to address their requirements using Ansys products and platform.
  • Assist in creating differentiating simulation solutions using the Ansys platform and products, and deploy the solutions within customers' design workflows.
  • Develop competence as a subject matter expert and industry expert.
  • Collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into exciting new product features.
  • Support Ansys field and digital marketing, author conference presentations, and contribute to consulting services and training classes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an engineering software environment.
  • Education and/or industrial experience related to fluid mechanics and computational fluid dynamics, with experience in thermodynamics.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages.
  • Experience with or specialization in the Electronics Industry segment.
  • Subject matter expert in one or more relevant disciplines within Ansys' business.
  • Basic Python programming experience.
  • Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services type customer-facing roles using engineering software.
  • Experience with Ansys Fluent/Ansys Icepak/Ansys Mechanical.
  • Experience with application of CFD simulation for package, board, system level modeling.
  • Experience with multiphysics aspects of electronics design.
  • Experience/strength in Python programming.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives.
