The Dietitian is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing expert nutrition advice and care to patients, families, and communities. This role requires a strong foundation in human nutrition, dietetics, and healthcare, with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

About You:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from a recognized university
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year working experience as a dietitian, with inpatient clinical nutrition experience an asset
  • Skills:
    • Competency in dysphagia management, enteral and parenteral nutrition
    • Experience counselling patients
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications
    • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, and work under pressure
    • Participation in continuing education and upgrading of skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of the interprofessional healthcare team

About the Opportunity:

This is a long-assignment, part-time position with 45 hours bi-weekly, working approximately 9 months from September 2024 to June 2025. The successful candidate will work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $43.42, as well as eligibility for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
