Classification: Porter/Bellman
The Reception Department plays a pivotal role in customer loyalty, serving as the first and last point of contact. As a Porter/Bellman, your responsibilities will include:
- Meeting and greeting residents and their guests, escorting them to their residences, and carrying their luggage and packages.
- Answering residents' questions and providing assistance with departures.
- Staying informed about hotel functions and maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby and common areas.
- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring residents' safety.
- Providing coverage for the doorman and assisting the Concierge as needed.
- Working all four shifts, including night shifts, and performing other duties as required.
- Providing gracious, attentive, and friendly service.
Requirements:
- Previous work experience in a similar position in a luxury establishment.
- Proficiency in French and English, both oral and written; knowledge of a third language is an asset.
- Good knowledge of the city of Montreal and its surroundings.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects.
- Uniform and excellent grooming at all times.
- Quiet, polite, patient, smiling, and flexible demeanor, with diplomatic and discreet communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to a diversified clientele and provide exceptional service.
Reports to: The Director of Residences and the Assistant to the Director of Residence.
