Director, Sustainability Reporting

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director, Sustainability Reporting & Finance Initiatives. This is a key role that will be responsible for leading our climate initiatives, developing a transition plan, and proposing strategies to address climate risk and opportunity.
Key Responsibilities- Climate Risk: Develop and propose policies, plans, and programs to facilitate the implementation of climate change and sustainability strategy, monitoring, and reporting.
- Integrate Climate Risk Analysis: Integrate analysis of physical and transition risk for real estate and other applicable areas into stress testing and capital requirements, including financial analysis and modeling as applicable.
- Build Climate Awareness: Build innovative approaches to training, toolkits, and dashboards for embedding climate across various lines of business and corporate areas.
- Research and Analysis: Continue research on climate and sustainability broadly, to understand and communicate emerging risks to senior management.
- Strategy & Analysis: Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance awareness and drive buy-in of sustainability and influence strategies and actions to capture opportunities related to sustainability, climate change, and related topics like sustainable finance, operational sustainability, sustainable procurement, and others.
- Reporting & Regulatory: Manage the collection of information needed for sustainability-related measurements and disclosure. Assess emerging sustainability standards and regulations and their impact on sustainability reporting measures and disclosures.
- 8+ years working in a finance role, 1+ year experience working on ESG matters
- Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
- A CPA/CFA designation preferred, but not required
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguous situations
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead others
- Results-oriented and goal-driven
- A team player and leader, able to successfully guide the work of others and be committed to achieving common goals
- Excellent project management skills demonstrating organization with the ability to manage change
- Professional presence with the ability to quickly establish personal credibility and demonstrate expertise
- Have experience with assessing the physical risks of different climate hazards on operations and supply chains
- Demonstrate strong writing skills and an ability to translate recommendations and other ideas effectively and concisely in reports, presentation materials, client proposals, and other written communication
