- Ensure that all necessary documents, such as obituaries and death certificates, are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with clergy, other presiding persons, and funeral home staff to ensure a smooth and respectful funeral process.
- Utilize technology to record merchandise selections, enter contracts, and complete necessary forms.
- Plan and conduct visitations and services, ensuring that each family's needs are met.
- Supervise and assist funeral home staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Prepare the deceased for viewing, including dressing and casketing.
- Arrange and coordinate shipment of remains to and from other cities and locations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Active Funeral Director's license in good standing.
- Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and funeral software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
