Service Advisor

Inland Truck & Equipment is a leading provider of heavy-duty truck and equipment sales, service, and parts in North America. We're committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing opportunities for growth and development.

As a Service Advisor at Inland, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive the highest standard of service. You'll be responsible for:

  • Greating walk-in customers and promptly answering phone calls
  • Scheduling appointments, performing check-ins, and following up with customers throughout the service process
  • Providing accurate and thorough estimates, selling related parts and services, and ensuring customer approval before proceeding with work
  • Remaining in communication with customers throughout the service engagement
  • Proactively contacting customers to schedule preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Maintaining a strong working knowledge of warranty parameters for KW chassis and major component suppliers
  • Advising customers on vehicle/equipment care and maintenance
  • Handling telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process
  • Complying with provincial/state and local regulations affecting service operations
  • Participating in WHMIS and OSHA training

We're looking for a Service Advisor who:

  • Has strong interpersonal skills, a team player approach, and a sales-oriented mindset
  • Can proactively problem-solve and think logically
  • Has good verbal and written communication skills
  • Has 3+ years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Has a post-secondary diploma or trade certification (an asset)
  • Has a strong ability to listen and interpret issues
  • Has good mechanical aptitude and organizational skills
  • Is proficient in computer skills and can learn new software
  • Functions well in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of work
  • Is accountable, dependable, and has strong time management skills
  • Can lift a minimum of 25 kgs (55 lbs) on occasion
