The Business Consultant plays a critical role in driving business growth and optimization at BMO Financial Group. This position requires a unique blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and analytical skills to inform business decisions and drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Elicit business requirements and analyze feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve expected business outcomes.
  • Support project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with business requirements.
  • Develop informative project documents for multiple stakeholders, covering functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Apply domain and functional expertise to drive expected business value.
  • Break down strategic problems and analyze data to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Build test cases to validate business requirements and End-User Testing results.
Qualifications:
  • Foundational level of proficiency in Agile Delivery and Development, Data Analysis, Learning Agility, and Experience with Livelink document management application.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Process Improvement and Optimization, Organization Process Optimization, Business Architecture Frameworks, Stakeholder Analysis and Management, Digital Fluency, Systems Thinking, Verbal & Written Communication Skills, Collaboration & Team Skills, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills, and Data-Driven Decision Making.
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Business Requirements Definition and Analysis, Insights Development and Reporting, Application Functional Design, and Functional Analysis.
Requirements:
  • Typically between years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
