Radiological Technologist, Interventional Angiography Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team in Medical Imaging at Fraser Health Authority. As an Interventional Radiography Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures in our state-of-the-art Interventional Radiology suites.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Interventional and Angiography Procedures: Complete requisitions and related paperwork, enter patient information into the radiology information system, and operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment.
- Assist Radiologists: Act as circulation and scrub support during procedural examinations and treatments, and monitor patient during procedures.
- Monitor Patient Safety: Observe and respond to possible contrast media reactions or other emergent situations, and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation if necessary.
- Facilitate Workflow: Check information on requisitions, regulate inpatient examination time, and arrange departmental and/or facility porters.
- Perform Quality Control: Schedule and perform equipment tests, record results, and identify malfunctioning equipment for repair.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement: Use established monitoring and auditing methodologies to perform quality assurance checks.
- Maintain Designated Work Area: Check and clean equipment, set up examination trays, and receive and stock supplies.
- Train and Mentor Staff: Demonstrate procedures and usage of equipment to staff, and participate in orientation of new employees.
- Maintain Patient and Hospital Records: Enter data into the radiology and hospital information system as required.
- Respond to Inquiries: Answer questions from other clinical areas regarding patient examinations and schedules.
- Certification: Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' recent, related experience in interventional radiography or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated knowledge of theory and practice for general radiology, angiography, and interventional procedures, as well as safe work procedures with medical imaging equipment.
