Fraser Health is seeking a skilled Radiological Technologist to join our team at Surrey Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our medical imaging team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job SummaryThe Radiological Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices, and maintaining accurate records. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing organization with a team of dedicated health professionals.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.
- Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, including processing radiographs and archiving acquired data.
- Monitor patient care and safety, ensuring procedures adhere to department standards and policies.
- Prepare contrast agents and tray set-ups for procedures, and dispose of items according to hospital policy.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management procedures, and provide input into departmental Continuous Quality Improvement/LEAN programs.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics.
- Participate in the instruction of employees and/or students, and assist with departmental orientations and in-service presentations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
- Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
