Job Title: Radiological Technologist Job Description: Join our team in Medical Imaging and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care as a Radiological Technologist at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiological Technologist to join our team at Surrey Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices, and providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities: • Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures in accordance with established standards, procedures, and radiation protection practices • Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, including processing radiographs and archiving acquired data • Prepare patients for examination, monitor patient care and safety, and ensure procedures adhere to department standards and policies • Participate in quality improvement and risk management procedures, and provide input into departmental Continuous Quality Improvement/LEAN programs • Perform a variety of clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics • Participate in the instruction of employees and/or students, and assist with departmental orientations and in-service presentations Qualifications: • Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) • Demonstrated knowledge and practice of safe work procedures with diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging equipment • Ability to perform radiographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards • Knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, co-workers, physicians, and other health care staff About Fraser Health: Fraser Health is a leading healthcare provider in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, serving over two million people.
