We are seeking a highly skilled Pension Administration Consultant to join our team at LifeWorks Inc. As a key member of our Defined Benefits Pension Administration team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality pension administration services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the client service delivery team, ensuring timely and accurate production of annual pension statements and legislative updates.
- Review complex calculations, including marriage breakdowns and pension loss calculations, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct technical analysis of plan provision changes, collaborating with the actuary to ensure accurate valuations.
- Liaise with clients to resolve pension administration issues, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, quality control, and service standards are met.
- Provide leadership and coaching to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Assist in the development of new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
- Participate in special projects as required, contributing to the growth and success of the team.
- 5+ years of experience in Defined Benefits Pension Administration.
- Post-secondary education in Mathematics or a related field.
- Knowledge of provincial pension and tax legislation.
- Exceptional customer focus, with strong professional acumen.
- Strong communication, project management, and presentation skills.
- Leadership and team building skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in office software, specifically MS Word, Excel, and Access.
- ASA designation and/or DB pension actuarial background.
- Courses in Pension Administration.
- Bilingual (English and French).
- Experience with pension administration software Ariel.
