We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Global Asset Liability Management (GALM) team. As a key member of our Product Support & Investment Strategy team, you will play a critical role in identifying and managing asset/liability risks for our global general accounts. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and evaluating investment and hedging strategies, collaborating with global colleagues, and supporting business unit growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and recommend general account investment strategies that align with business objectives.
- Manage projects and influence resources across multiple disciplines and geographies.
- Partner with business units to provide investment strategies for new product initiatives.
- Support ALM initiatives and ad-hoc projects, such as segment consolidation, reinsurance, and M&A products.
- Research investment and hedging strategy topics and implications from regulatory changes.
- Maintain and enhance the current strategy review process and documentation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including regular meetings with colleagues across the globe.
- FSA/FCIA with investment experience, or Masters in a quantitative discipline, or CFA/PRM/FRM, or other relevant risk management designation.
- Minimum of 7 years working experience in a financial/investment risk management environment.
- Excellent quantitative finance and/or mathematics skills.
- Strong knowledge of insurance company assets, liabilities, and asset/liability modeling.
- Prior experience working with or in an ALM function is desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment, across multiple disciplines, and across multiple time zones.
