About the Role:

The Marketing Actuary will play a key role in driving the strategic positioning of Individual L&H product portfolio, strengthening RBCI's leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive profitable growth of L&H portfolio, identifying opportunities to strengthen value proposition
  • Partner with Sales & Distribution to enable effective positioning of Life & Health product portfolio, with a specific focus on Participating Whole Life
  • Develop content and tools to differentiate product portfolio and bring added value to advisor conversations
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to exceed advisor and client experience
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements

What You Will Do:

  • Create technical thought leadership content consumable by advisors and clients alike – focused on participating whole life insurance and disability insurance
  • Co-create insurance strategies with product, distribution and digital partners for growing portfolio using technical skill, client analytics and strong knowledge of the industry
  • Support the business by performing product analysis/reviews and completing ad-hoc competitive requests; create tools to enable conceptual selling to target audience
  • Identify opportunities for acquisition & retention to grow and optimize the portfolio
  • Review client feedback and industry benchmarking data to identify product and service enhancements required to strengthen RBC's industry leading position

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years industry experience with strong knowledge of insurance concepts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Investment knowledge of PAR portfolios and thought leadership on how to position for competitive differentiation
  • Actuarial designation
