Event Manager

About the Role

As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for directing and motivating a team to provide high-quality service, while also managing financial and administrative responsibilities. You will work closely with the kitchen staff, banquet teams, and other departments to ensure seamless event execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage banquet operations, including supply needs, inventory, and equipment maintenance
  • Understand the impact of banquet operations on event success and manage activities to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to and reinforce all standards, policies, and procedures
  • Participate in and lead banquet teams, setting goals and delegating tasks to improve departmental performance
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, setting a positive example for guest relations and empowering employees to provide excellent service
  • Conduct human resources activities, including communicating and executing departmental and property emergency procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to events
