Job Summary

As a Banquet Manager at Marriott International, you will be responsible for directing and motivating a team to provide exceptional service to our guests. You will oversee the financial and administrative aspects of banquet operations, ensuring that all events meet our high standards. Your role will involve communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of events.

Key Responsibilities

Managing Banquet Operations

• Develop and implement strategies to improve banquet operations and increase customer satisfaction.

• Manage departmental inventories and maintain equipment to ensure efficient service.

• Use banquet beverage records to control liquor costs and manage the banquet beverage perpetual inventory.

• Schedule banquet service staff to forecast and service standards, while maximizing profits.

Participating in and Leading Banquet Teams

• Set goals and delegate tasks to improve departmental performance.

• Conduct monthly department meetings with the Banquet team.

• Apply and continually broaden knowledge of food and wine pairings and cutting-edge cuisine with emphasis on current event trends.

Ensuring and Providing Exceptional Customer Service

• Set a positive example for guest relations.

• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

• Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints.

Conducting Human Resources Activities

• Communicate and execute departmental and property emergency procedures and ensure staff are trained in safety procedures.

• Observe service behaviors of employees and provide feedback to individuals.

• Participate in the development and implementation of corrective action plans.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $96,000 annually.
