Job Title: Banquet Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Manager to join our team at GWALIA CATERING AND BANQUETS - CALGARY. As a Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing events, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings
  • Manage event staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff
  • Ensure timely and efficient service, including food and beverage delivery
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences
  • Develop and implement event concepts and menus
  • Manage event budgets and ensure profitability
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in event management or a related field
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
