About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pensions and Benefits, you will be actively involved in the administration of Intact's pension and benefits plans. You will work closely with the team's senior consultants, as well as with HR centers of expertise and external suppliers, to ensure the efficient administration of the various plans. Our current programs include defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, a flexible benefits plan, an employee share purchase plan, a group RRSP and TFSA, disability plans, a virtual health care and employee assistance program, as well as several retiree benefit plans.

What you'll do here:

  • Carry out, in the HR system, the transactions implicit to the administration of Intact's pension and benefits plans in compliance with the rules of each program;
  • Act as a resource person for the HR Service Center team and HR advisors regarding the administration of pension and benefits plans (including training);
  • Answer and resolve various employee questions or issues related to benefits in the most optimal way possible (via Workday Help);
  • Actively participate in various enrolment activities occurring during the year (insurance and retirement, share purchase plan, purchase of vacation days, overage students, etc.);
  • Carry out regular audits of the HR system to ensure the integrity of employee files in accordance with the rules of the various programs; make any required corrections and adjustments to files;
  • Act as a resource person for external suppliers (insurer, pension plan administrator, share purchase plan administrator) when there are data issues;
  • Collaborate with the HR systems team when more routine issues arise to resolve them;
  • Support the team's senior consultants in pension and benefits management (training materials, communication, projects, etc.).

What you bring to the table:

  • Education in human resources, administration or similar experience
  • Experience in benefits administration
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Naturally customer-oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bilingualism required (French and English). You will interact regularly with colleagues across the country.
  • Basic knowledge of pension and benefits legislation and regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite (mainly Excel)
  • Knowledge of Workday (an asset)
