Business Development Representative (Media Sales) Business Development Representative (Media Sales)

Cineplex is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative (Media Sales) to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding our client base in the Canadian retail market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively contact decision makers in the Canadian retail market through outbound calls, emails, and in-person meetings to extend our existing client base.
  • Build and maintain a high-value prospect database.
  • Develop relationships with occasional spenders to convert them to recurring spenders and deliver qualified leads to Account Executives.
  • Adopt thoughtful and resourceful strategies to meet or exceed assigned sales targets, including account planning.
  • Ensure that all prospective clients, their programs, products, and advertising media reflect and support the image and values of the Cineplex brand.
  • Develop a clear and persuasive 30-second elevator pitch on each product and the overall integrated platforms.
  • Maintain a good, current understanding of our theatre network, mall networks, and recreational venues on whose behalf advertising may be sold.
  • Work closely with our media solutions and production teams to manage the sales process from request for proposal to final sign off, implementation, and post-reporting.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education, ideally in a sales, marketing, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales-related field, with a focus on new business development.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Experience with selling digital media is an asset.
  • Experience selling to local retailers, including local automotive dealers, is an asset.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong negotiating skills, public speaking, and written communication.
  • Highly self-motivated and solution-oriented.
  • Fosters an environment of collaboration and innovation and is open to the perspectives and ideas of others.
  • Committed to personal development and improvement.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • CRM and/or Salesforce experience is an asset.
