Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair boilers, HVAC equipment, electrical systems, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Develop and implement operating instructions and procedures for equipment and systems.
- Establish and maintain operational testing schedules for critical systems and equipment.
- Evaluate equipment and system performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Train new and existing client staff on equipment and system operation.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the team and ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- TSBC 4th Class Power Engineer Certification or equivalent (TSSA)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in general building maintenance, with experience in a hospital setting an asset.
- Familiarity with WHMIS, Provincial Safety statutes, and basic applicable building codes and regulations.
- Comfortable with the use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Building Automation System (BAS), and Microsoft Office 2013 applications.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
