Modern Niagara is seeking a highly skilled and experienced 4th Class Power Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of our facilities' mechanical, electrical, and craft services systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair boilers, HVAC equipment/systems, electrical equipment/systems, and plumbing equipment/systems, with a focus on steam, boiler, and hot water units.
- Maintain the efficient operation of facility equipment and systems, ensuring they operate within design capabilities and achieve proper environmental conditions.
- Develop and implement operating instructions and procedures for equipment and systems.
- Evaluate equipment and systems operationally and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Establish performance standards for each phase of work, adhering to standard practices and quality levels.
Requirements:
- TSBC 4th Class Power Engineer Certification or equivalent (TSSA).
- Minimum 5 years of experience with general building maintenance, with experience working in a hospital considered an asset.
- Familiarity with WHMIS, Provincial Safety statutes, and basic applicable building codes, regulations.
- Comfortable with the use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Building Automation System (BAS), and Microsoft Office 2013 applications.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
