Modern Niagara is seeking a highly skilled 4th Class Power Engineer to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing boilers, HVAC equipment, electrical systems, and plumbing systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain steam, boiler, and hot water units to ensure efficient and safe operation.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and systems.
- Develop and implement operating instructions and procedures for equipment and systems.
- Establish and maintain periodic operational testing schedules for critical systems and equipment.
- Evaluate equipment and system performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Train new and existing staff on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Perform other duties as required to support the efficient operation of our facilities.
- TSBC 4th Class Power Engineer Certification or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in general building maintenance, with a focus on steam, boiler, and hot water systems.
- Familiarity with WHMIS, Provincial Safety statutes, and basic building codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
