Are you ready to kickstart your career as a Business Development Trainee? Reporting to the Area Manager, you will embark on a journey to grasp the ins and outs of the business, starting from the warehouse and gradually expanding into other areas such as Counter Sales, Inside Sales, and Outside Sales. Your role will involve crafting and implementing strategic plans to boost business growth and revenue. This is an exciting chance for someone keen on venturing into sales, embracing call planning, thriving in a fast-paced setting, and offering flexible solutions in a high-demand market.

Key Responsibilities as a Business Development Trainee:

  • Progress towards becoming a Sales & Business Development Representative
  • Streamline processes from warehouse operations to sales management, explore new products and services, and devise market strategies to expand the customer base
  • Engage in thorough research on targeted customers in specific territories and demographics
  • Identify new sales prospects and utilize cross-selling techniques effectively
  • Conduct market and territory research, engage with target audiences, enhance brand profitability, and ensure goal achievement
  • Collaborate with peers and the Area Sales Manager to meet objectives
  • Reach out to prospects via outbound calls, highlighting service benefits
  • Manage leads efficiently, maintain a robust sales pipeline, and follow up with potential clients diligently
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to enhance selling skills and product knowledge
  • Ensure smooth onboarding for new clients in collaboration with the operations team

Qualifications for Success as a Business Development Trainee:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related field
  • Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in Business Development, Account Management, or Sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Tenacity, professionalism, and a learning mindset
  • Approachable, positive demeanor with a customer-centric approach
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and dedicated to exceeding sales targets
  • Enthusiastic attitude towards sales and commitment to continuous learning and growth
