High Performance at Neo

We recruit, hire, and build our company culture around these attributes:

Teamwork: We trust, respect, encourage, and show up for each other — through good times and hard. We're on this mission not just for ourselves, but also for the people we work with — and ultimately, for our customers.

Ownership: We all have a stake in Neo's success — so we go out of our way to do what needs to get done. We hold ourselves accountable to deliver on our commitments — to our customers, to our partners, and to our team. When we fall short, we find a way to do better in the future.

Professional Integrity: We're asking millions of Canadians to trust us with their hard-earned money — so we hold ourselves (and each other) to the highest standards of integrity.

The Role

We're building a team of experienced and motivated Business Development Managers who possess an entrepreneurial mindset with a keen desire to be part of building Neo's mortgage product offering. As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying, initiating, and growing our mortgage referral relationships for our broker channel. This role will work collaboratively across teams to drive new business, maintain broker relationships and execute strategy plans in alignment with the business objectives.

What you'll be doing:

  • Contribute to the growth, strategy and, relationships of our new mortgages business
  • Continuously drive an increase in overall broker and portfolio volumes through the broker channel, including developing and executing on the go to market strategies and performance management plan
  • Build business relationships with Brokers by establishing new connections and tapping into your existing network to increase our current portfolio
  • Manage and nurture existing relationships by providing unparalleled support and guidance
  • Educate and train both new and existing Brokers on our products and services while selling the vision of Neo's mission
  • Create and execute sales marketing plans in relation to volume forecasting, revenue growth, quarterly and annual goals, and developing new target market initiatives
  • Maintain and improve broker funding ratios
  • Analyze your portfolio to determine high, medium, and low performing brokerages and take necessary actions against each to improve performance
  • Liaise between underwriting and brokers to ensure clear, concise, and prompt communication to maintain quality service levels
  • Attend various and relevant networking events within your region
  • Maintain and adhere to relevant lending guidelines and AML requirements
  • Work with senior leaders to drive sales productivity, execute roadmap initiatives and help streamline the underwriting process using technology and best-in-class processes and training

Who we are looking for:

  • 3+ years experience as a Business Development Manager in the Mortgage Industry
  • Previous experience in Mortgages is required
  • Strong background in Prime Insured, Insurable and Prime Conventional credit
  • Comprehensive and strong relationships with Mortgage Brokers within British Columbia
  • A driven, self starter with a proven ability to build from the ground up and make informed decisions that best serve the business
  • An adaptable team player who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative work environment
  • Have strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Strong sales acumen with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong background in residential mortgage credit considered an asset.
