Health and Benefits Director Health and Benefits Director

As a Health and Benefits Director at Willis Towers Watson, you will lead large, highly visible client engagements involving the design and management of the full array of health and benefits programs. You will drive the strategy and grow relationships with current clients, as well as participate in prospecting opportunities with new clients.

The Role
  • Serve as Strategic Partner and Trusted Advisor
    • Benefit plan analysis, design, cost savings and funding strategies
    • Vendor procurement, negotiation, and optimization
    • Incorporation of specialized health management, absence and disability management, pharmacy, data analytics and compliance strategies
  • Grow Health and Benefits Revenue
    • Anticipate client needs and cross-sell new solutions to current clients
    • Serve as the Health and Benefits expert in new client pursuits by crafting solutions to meet prospects' needs
  • Oversee Consultants and Project Managers
    • Design and deliver project plans
    • Finalize and present deliverables to clients
  • Contribute to Marketing and Development
    • Speak at conferences and promote the company
    • Write articles and contribute to the development of new Health and Benefits tools and approaches
  • Demonstrate Leadership Ability
    • Directly manage and/or mentor other consultants
The Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in the design/management of large group health and welfare plans
  • Proven ability to generate revenue and manage large client relationships
  • Proven experience in successfully leading global teams and projects
  • Executive presence with polished and well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization
  • Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in health and welfare plan strategy
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Availability to travel regularly
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Provincial Life and Health license required within 180 days of joining
