About the Opportunity
- As an MRI Technologist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, performing complex procedures and collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that patient requisitions meet departmental standards and correlating clinical history with examinations to be performed.
- With considerable latitude for initiative and independent action, you will have the opportunity to take on new challenges and responsibilities, and to contribute to the development of our team.
About You
- We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist who is a graduate of an accredited School with a diploma in Health Technology, e.g. RT and successful completion of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiological Technology MRI exams.
- You must have Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification and Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure.
- Previous MRI experience is preferred, but not required.
- You must demonstrate competency in I.V. insertion and be able to work independently, making frequent decisions assessing diagnostic results and recognizing the significance of all structures visualized.
- You must also be able to maintain an ongoing interest in updating knowledge on new equipment and procedures, and to practice excellent patient care, demonstrating courtesy, kindness and understanding using effective communication skills.
Hours and Compensation
- This is a long assignment full-time position, with 75 hours biweekly.
- You will be required to work call and shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
- The hourly rate for this position is $39.96.
