About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced health care facility, providing administrative support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Retrieve and file patient records and reports
- Access and update patient information via computer system
- Answer telephone and in-person enquiries for charts and information
- Assemble and process patient health records for discharged patients
- Grade 12 education
- Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Working knowledge of computers and keyboarding skills
- Ability to file accurately and maintain neat and legible records
- Demonstrated understanding of the terminal digit filing system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical strength to lift filing materials
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
