Special Events/Project Coordinator

The Brokenhead Ojibway Nation is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Special Events/Project Coordinator.
The Special Events/Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating events/programming from start to completion.
The goal will be to organize successful events/programming and projects that ensure Jordan's Principle mandate, vision, mission, and values are met.
All events/programming and projects will be planned to meet the target audience and within budget.
Requirements
Certificate in Management and/or Project Management.
Proven experience as an Events Coordinator.
A proven track record of organizing successful events.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent vendor management skills.
Outstanding relationship-building, communication skills and negotiation ability.
Well-organized, proven problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
Able to handle stress and remain calm.
Ability to establish professional working relationships with staff, business, government, and non-profit organizations.
Strict adherence to rules of confidentiality and other policies that define the Code of Conduct.
Must be willing to work flexible hours on short notice.
Must obtain an up-to-date Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Check if over the age of 18 years.
Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test and future random drug testing.
Must have a valid Manitoba driver's license and reliable vehicle
