About the Role

This role is a key part of our production team, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of high-speed filling and packaging equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of food manufacturing and sanitation requirements, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, operate, and sanitize high-speed filling and packaging equipment, including fillers, cappers, labelers, and palletizers.
  • Accurately record production data and maintain quality, sanitation, and production documents in accordance with plant requirements.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and resolve downtime issues, and report any operational efficiency impacts to the line lead or supervisor.
  • Perform equipment changeovers, set-ups, and adjustments, as well as flavor changes, washouts, and weekly cleaning tasks.
  • Hand stack and/or manually pack-off products, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Participate in weekly training sessions and pass related comprehension tests to ensure ongoing development and compliance with plant requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in the food industry, preferably in a production or manufacturing role.
  • Ability to climb stairs and/or steps, stand for extended periods, and lift heavy loads safely.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing and sanitation requirements, GMP, and HACCP programs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends as required.
