We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Services Manager to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating services and daily operations of people-centered programs within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for VG 9A and Enterostomal Clinic to ensure the goals and objectives are continually met
- Promote and emphasize people-centred care in partnership with the patient, family, and healthcare team
- Develop, implement, and maintain an active human resource plan, including recruitment, selection, interviewing, and hiring
- Prepare and analyze all relevant financial and clinical data, reporting trends and identifying where corrective action is required for budget variances, implementing changes as needed, and evaluating the effectiveness of the changes
- Establish and maintain creative and efficient communication processes across clinical teams, geographically different sites, other disciplines, and other stakeholders within NSH as required
- Manage process improvements for quality patient care and enhancing capacity
- Represent their discipline or service/program by active and effective participation in meetings and on committees
- Provide strategic and operational leadership that supports service delivery excellence and collaboration with other program areas
- Monitor clinical service delivery on a day-to-day basis to ensure service provision is following Nova Scotia Health's policies and procedures and is compliant with evidence-based practice, provincial standards, and accreditation requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in healthcare leadership and management. The ideal candidate will have:
- A baccalaureate degree from a health discipline
- A master's degree an asset
- Registration with the relevant health discipline college/association
- Five to seven years of relevant clinical experience
- Previous leadership/management experience an asset
- Experience and expertise in process planning and redesign work
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of issues and trends impacting the publicly funded healthcare system, nationally and internationally
- A high level of sound judgment, initiative, and self-direction
- High degrees of independent decision making, motivation, creativity, flexibility, adaptability, and change management knowledge
- Proven and highly developed leadership skills, including vision, self-awareness, relationship, and team building skills, and communication skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours- Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
- Approximately 11 months (Assignment length subject to change)
$60.39 Hourly
