About the Role

Aurora Cannabis is seeking a skilled Machine Operator (Packaging) to join our production team in Bradford, ON. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing and packaging high-end pre-rolled cannabis products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the operating conditions of machines, performing minor preventative maintenance and escalating performance issues as necessary.
  • Participate in the production of pre-rolls and operate production equipment, ensuring conformity to product and brand standards.
  • Perform daily line set-up and line clearance of pre-roll production process and equipment.
  • Assist in packaging events of finished product in a fast-paced environment.
  • Daily cleaning and sanitization of tools and equipment.
  • Quality control and good documentation practices.
  • Understand and adhere to Aurora's Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and related documents.
  • Understand and comply with Health Canada's Cannabis Act, ISO requirements, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
  • Promote and maintain GDP, GACP, and GMP requirements.
  • Recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and product loss.

  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate material-handling equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Accurately follow instructions, complete forms, and paperwork as required.
  • Knowledge or basic understanding of GDP, GACP, and GMP standards is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to support operational requirements.
