Job Summary

The Program Development Educator is a key role in our organization, responsible for providing education services to rural facilities and community-based services. This position will work closely with leaders and educators within the organization to provide education services consistent with overall program direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess learning needs of staff and plan, implement, and evaluate education activities/programs.
  • Use a consultative approach and research to provide support to care staff and managers.
  • Develop and deliver formal education programs.
  • Collaborate with the PHC Director and PHC Managers to promote delivery of client-centered care through education programming.

Requirements:

  • Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities.
  • Experience with planning, implementation, quality monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Three (3) years experience in the specific clinical area.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
  • Comparable degree in education/adult learning may be considered.

  • Ability to integrate theory/knowledge/experience to enhance client-centered care.
  • Knowledge in education and program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Ability to integrate knowledge and experience to enhance clinical practice.
  • Knowledge in adult education principles, methods, and tools.
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Ability to apply research to clinical practice.
  • Ability to develop and deliver formal education programs.
  • Able to plan, prioritize, and execute responsibilities independent of supervision.
  • Ability to be self-directed.
  • Demonstrates ability to accept and implement change.
