About the ProjectThe Flax Fibre to Fabric project aims to develop an operational fibre flax value chain that mitigates GHG emissions, contributes to a net-zero economy, and supports socio-cultural resilience through regional economic development and marketable value-added products.
About the RoleThe Project Manager will be responsible for advancing the work of a multidisciplinary research team, ensuring project success, and coordinating multiple research streams. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing project work plans, ensuring timely and budget-friendly completion of all project components.
- Managing the project budget, overseeing financial transactions, and reconciling expenses.
- Coordinating project activities, including meetings, events, and travel, and serving as the primary point of contact for the research team and industry partners.
- Creating and managing a project communication plan, participating in knowledge dissemination activities, and compiling notes and minutes.
- Overseeing grant reporting requirements and ensuring compliance with the grant awarding agency.
A minimum of three years' experience in project management and a master's degree in business, science, humanities, or a related field is required. The successful candidate will have formal training in project management, demonstrated skill administering a budget, and proficiency with project management tools.
What We OfferThis is a temporary position expected to work approximately 15-20 hours per week. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a unique and innovative project, collaborating with a multidisciplinary research team and industry partners.
