Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant Float to support various lawyers across all practice areas, providing assistance in a range of legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a variety of tasks, including mail, couriers, faxes, and document scanning, with priorities that may shift throughout the day.
  • Draft routine correspondence and transcribe dictations, producing legal documents as needed for different practice areas.
  • Respond to client inquiries and assist with drop-ins, maintaining professional communication with clients and key parties.
  • Conduct client intake, conflict checks, and manage client files, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.
  • Schedule and organize meetings, discoveries, and mediations, while managing the lawyer's changing calendar.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Legal Assistant/Paralegal program, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Previous Legal Assistant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service.
  • Excellent analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and take initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Adept at using technology such as Outlook and the full Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent typing and dicta-transcription skills.
  • A positive team player who contributes to a good team environment.
