About the Role

Operto Guest Technologies is on the lookout for a Product Designer to join our Product team and lead the creation of intuitive, user-centered experiences for our B2B and B2C web-based SaaS solutions on both desktop and mobile platforms. You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of our Connect, Guest, and Teams platforms, contributing to best-in-class product experiences that our clients and their guests will love.

Role Responsibilities

  • Use your talent to transform great concepts into engaging designs that captivate the imaginations of internal team members, clients, and customers.
  • Transform complex challenges into clear, actionable design strategies that drive user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Product Analysts to conceptualize and implement designs that advance our clients' businesses. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that design solutions are both elegant and practical, meeting user needs and business objectives.
  • Ensure that user requirements, validated with product managers and engineers, are incorporated into designs in line with existing user experiences and project goals.
  • Craft engaging and user-focused designs, including mocks, wireframes, journey maps, and prototypes, to support and enhance the interaction design process.
  • Clearly present design concepts and findings to your team and stakeholders, translating user needs into compelling narratives and recommending solutions that align with strategic goals.
  • Contribute to our design system, ensuring consistency and coherence across all design outputs. Utilize our Material Design framework while exploring and integrating new design concepts and advancements.
  • Proactively identify and address UX problems to enhance user satisfaction and overall experience.
  • Make informed adjustments based on user feedback and testing to continuously refine and improve the user experience.
  • Engage with Engineering and participate in Bi-weekly Showcases to maintain high design standards. Challenge existing design constraints and explore innovative solutions to push the boundaries of what's possible.

Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects across web and mobile platforms.
  • Solid understanding and experience with the Material Design System.
  • Clear understanding of front-end limitations and possibilities.
  • Ability to interpret, question, and translate complex technical concepts and wireframes into simple and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Experience with design collaboration and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to iterate quickly and explain complex concepts to gather feedback.
  • Experience with agile development in a pod-based full-stack team and building SaaS platforms.
  • Experience in Design Thinking, Human-Centered Design, or Design Sprint processes.
  • Experience managing user research programs and using product data to justify design decisions.
  • Experience with customer journey software (e.g., FullStory and Google Analytics) and related data to influence design decisions and prioritization.
  • Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams to communicate the 'How'.
