Job Title: Summer Intern, Mechanical Engineering

Job Summary:

We're seeking a motivated student to join our team as a Summer Intern, Mechanical Engineering. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with various departments to conduct tests, ensure accurate readings, and take samples.
  • Assist the Mine Engineering Department with various projects, including rock mechanics, data collection, and quality control.
  • Be responsible for analysis and reporting.
  • Prepare samples for lab analysis.
  • Conduct analysis.
  • Ensure proper instrumentation and equipment function.
Requirements:
  • Current enrollment in at least the 2nd year of a mining or geological engineering program from an accredited university.
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; team player who can positively and productively implement assigned projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent results/goal orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles.
  • Thorough attention to details and ability to maintain accuracy in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word and Excel.
  • Able to work collaboratively across multiple functions.
